Job summary

New Weds Foods in Chicago, IL seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee line operations and staff. You will ensure policy compliance, maintain smooth shift performance, and coordinate with Maintenance, QA, Customer Service and Warehouse.

You will schedule personnel, lead meetings, conduct health & safety briefings, and participate in HACCP and audits to ensure product quality and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Computer proficiency.
• Expertise in production operation—organize, troubleshoot, train and administer production, safety & quality principles.
• Previous supervisory experience or related coursework/training.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level sufficient for technical duties, alarms, and regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule personnel to meet production requirements.
• Conduct weekly staff meetings.
• Conduct health & safety meetings with hourly staff.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Train staff on scanning system.
• Enforce company procedures.
• Monitor GMPs, sanitation and housekeeping.
• Complete daily production reports.
• Complete daily remote bagger schedule.
• Attend daily production meetings.
• Plan and schedule production.
• Monitor blending and packaging activities.
• Complete pre-op and scale checklists.
• Maintain security and HACCP records.
• Support audits and food defense activities.
• Record attendance and hours.
• Assist in month-end inventory.
• Coordinate with HR on employee issues.
• Respond to customer service and shipping inquiries.
