Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years leadership experience in manufacturing or maintenance required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years leadership experience in a foundry environment preferred.
• Prior experience as lead person, leadership trainee, supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily production and maintenance activities to meet operational goals and customer needs.
• Communicate with foremen and team members to determine priorities and align resources.
• Create team assignments and communicate expectations for efficient workflow.
• Monitor production schedules, resources, and workforce capacity; adjust as needed.
• Maintain levels of non-inventory production and maintenance supplies.
• Track department performance and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct daily start-up meetings and provide ongoing communication.
• Spend time on the production floor to support employees.
• Ensure quality standards throughout all production processes.
• Train and support new employees on safety, equipment operation, and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with managers and team members to identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct and document performance reviews and coaching conversations.
• Identify training opportunities to improve performance and engagement.
• Promote workplace safety through training and process improvement.
• Monitor attendance and maintain employee records.
• Complete required data entry in company systems.
• Coordinate Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities.
• Participate in meetings on coaching, safety, strategy, and operations.
• Assist with candidate interviews and onboarding activities.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
