Job summary

Jabil is seeking a production professional in Kentucky to oversee production processes and support supervisors in setting priorities. The role emphasizes cost awareness and efficient operations while ensuring adherence to quality standards across shifts.

You will collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize resources, reduce waste, and improve metrics such as defects per million. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years experience.
• Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Confers with management to establish production and quality control standards and data on orders.
• Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resources and utilization.
• Review production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify causes of nonconformity and production problems with supervisors.
• Assist in minimizing scrap and MRO usage; ensure workstations have clean operating areas and implement methods to improve metrics.
• Monitor production metrics and complete monthly report cards; strive to lower defects per million (DPM).
• Ensure line employees read and adhere to policies; ensure stocking of operation supplies and equipment.
• Assist in monitoring the SPC system to fix repetitive problems and store/retrieve production data.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
