ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our team. This role involves executing safety standards, achieving daily productivity goals while maintaining quality, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with non-routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures at all times and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Manipulate, cut, and form raw materials according to work orders to meet customer specifications.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely, including tape measures, calipers, shears, CNC burning tables, band saws, iron workers, track burners, tube cutters, forklifts, overhead cranes, and PPE.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 20 feet, exerting 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and perform physical activities such as reaching, squatting, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders while wearing PPE.
• Maintain spatial awareness to navigate the work environment safely.
• Use vision effectively to monitor work activities and surroundings.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, cold, heat, and wind.
• Attend all required company meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders and follow oral instructions.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
• Intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to meet or exceed productivity standards safely.
• Ability to plan and organize work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of material and inventory control techniques.
• Effective communication across departments regarding routing, safety, and customer relations.

Physical Requirements:

• Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, talk, or hear.
• Occasional standing, walking, and reaching.
• Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Visual abilities including close, distance, color vision, and focus adjustment.
