Job summary

Ramp is seeking a Production Engineering leader to own architecture and drive reliability across compute, storage, messaging, and observability. You will write production code, own systems end-to-end, and collaborate with product teams to accelerate shipping while maintaining strong reliability.

This role requires leading technical projects with cross-team coordination, extensive cloud experience (AWS preferred), and a track record in fintech-scale infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering management shipping high-quality architectures for critical systems.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Track record of leading technical projects end-to-end, including cross-team coordination.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated industries (FedRAMP, SOC 2).

Responsibilities

• Build and operate critical infrastructure across Ramp’s compute, storage, messaging, and observability stack, owning systems that handle real financial transactions at scale.
• Drive architectural change by proposing solutions, coordinating with owners across teams, and ensuring follow-through until resolved.
• Partner with product teams at the design phase to review architectures and embed golden paths for reliable builds.
• Lead cross-team architectural reviews and take ownership of company-wide reliability and scalability initiatives.
• Enable AI-native engineering by defining scalable infrastructure patterns and reusable foundations.
