Job summary

RampRamp is hiring a Production Engineer to own critical infrastructure end‑to‑end, spanning compute, storage, messaging, and observability. You will drive reliability, scale, and security while partnering with product teams to embed robust architectures from design through deployment.

You will lead architectural changes, enable AI‑native engineering, and build self‑service tooling to empower other teams, with a strong emphasis on ownership and rapid, reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering management shipping high‑quality architectures for critical systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and production‑grade code.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed systems at production scale.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with observability practices (SLOs, error budgets, dashboards).
• Proven track record delivering cross‑team technical projects.
• Comfortable using AI tooling and coding agents in daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate critical infrastructure across compute, storage, messaging, and observability.
• Drive architectural change and own the path forward across engineering teams.
• Partner with product teams at the design phase to embed golden paths and ensure correct build practices.
• Lead the company toward scalable, cellular architecture enabling international markets and compliance (FedRAMP/SOC2 as applicable).
• Enable AI‑native engineering and define reusable foundations for AI workloads.
• Build developer tooling and self‑service infrastructure to empower other teams.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and drive root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Lead across the company with cross‑team architectural reviews and end‑to‑end ownership of reliability initiatives.
