Job summary

Ramp is hiring for Production Engineering to own infrastructure end-to-end, write production code, and drive reliability across Ramp’s compute, storage, and observability stacks. You will partner with product teams, push architectural changes, and help Ramp scale to international markets while meeting enterprise-grade SLAs.

The role emphasizes ownership, urgency, and building reusable foundations as Ramp moves toward AI-enabled engineering and cellular architectures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience shipping high‑quality architectures for critical systems.
• Experience with distributed systems at production scale.
• Familiarity with observability practices (SLOs, error budgets, dashboards).
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and operate critical infrastructure across Ramp's compute, storage, messaging, and observability stack.
• Drive architectural change and own the path forward when issues arise.
• Partner with product teams at design phase to embed golden paths and enable correct builds.
• Build Ramp's next level of scale, moving to cellular architecture to enable international growth and enterprise SLAs.
• Enable AI-native engineering and define golden paths for reusable foundations.
• Build developer tooling and self-service infrastructure for other teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Lead across the company with cross-team architectural reviews and reliability initiatives.
