Job summary

INEOS Olefins and Polymers USA Production Engineer role at Chocolate Bayou Works in Alvin, TX, seeks a professional to provide daily technical support ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of the CBW site.

The position collaborates with Operations and Maintenance teams to sustain stable unit performance and compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced 24/7 plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in process engineering, production/operations support, or plant engineering in chemical manufacturing or related industries.
• Strong understanding of PSM principles and OSHA/EPA regulations in chemical plants.
• Commitment to safety, environmental compliance and process safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support for operations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient performance.
• Monitor daily process conditions and troubleshoot operating and equipment issues.
• Ensure continuous compliance with PSM requirements and environmental standards.
• Maintain environmental compliance through routine monitoring, reporting and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to support routine operations, maintenance, startups, shutdowns and outages.
• Lead or support incident investigations and drive corrective action closure.
• Initiate and manage MOC activities for safe implementation of improvements.
• Support short-term optimization and reliability initiatives to reduce variability.
