Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA, located in Alvin, Texas, is seeking a Process Engineering Team Leader to provide site-wide leadership for process engineering across Olefins, Polymers, and Utilities at the Chocolate Bayou facility.

The role establishes standardized engineering practices, drives technical rigor, and governs process safety; it also coordinates priorities with Production, Maintenance, SHE, Reliability, and Project teams to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience applying process engineering principles in chemical manufacturing or a comparable continuous-process environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of process safety management, environmental compliance, engineering calculations, process troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Translate site priorities into an integrated Process Engineering work plan across Olefins, Polymers, and Utilities.
• Lead technical discipline with clear priorities and resource allocation.
• Maintain standardized work practices, templates, calculations, and documentation.
• Provide discipline governance, independent technical judgment, and site standards.
• Support Safe Operating Limits, operating envelopes, and risk reviews.
