Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA in Chocolate Bayou Works, Alvin, TX is seeking a Process Engineer for Olefins. You will deliver disciplined process engineering support to safe, reliable operations, applying standard tools and documentation.

The role collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams, owns process safety and continuous improvement, and supports capital and operating projects. A Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering is required; petrochemical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of process safety management and environmental compliance.
• Ability to interpret process data and perform engineering calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply standardized process engineering tools and documentation for Olefins operations.
• Support safe, reliable, and compliant operation through technical analysis and timely execution of work.
• Maintain operating envelopes, Safe Operating Limits, and technical bases for assigned processes.
• Mentor peers and contribute to governance activities within the discipline.
• Participate in PHAs/HAZOPs and incident investigations when required.
