Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA in Alvin, TX seeks a Process Engineer, Olefins, to provide disciplined process engineering support for Olefins operations at Chocolate Bayou Works. You will apply standard tools, perform calculations, troubleshoot, and help maintain Safe Operating Limits while interfacing with Operations, Maintenance, SHE, Reliability, Projects, and other technical teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
Experience applying process engineering in chemical manufacturing or similar.
Knowledge of process safety management, environmental compliance, engineering calculations, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Ability to interpret process data and develop technically sound recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Apply standardized process engineering tools and documentation.
Support Olefins unit priorities with analyses and recommendations.
Monitor process performance and identify deviations or risks.
Perform mass and energy balances, hydraulic evaluations, simulations, and relief/flare calculations.
Support governance items for safety, investigations, and MOC actions.
Provide input for startups, shutdowns, and capital/expense projects.
