Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking an engineer to own the technical performance of assigned manufacturing processes in a growing specialty chemicals environment. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing process improvements across operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5+ years of manufacturing experience and hands-on experience with PSM programs (MOC, PHA, PSSR).

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; 3–5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvement skills
• Experience with PSM programs (MOC, PHA, PSSR) and incident investigations

Responsibilities

• Own the technical performance of assigned manufacturing processes.
• Monitor process and equipment performance and implement improvements.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues using root cause analysis.
• Lead Management of Change (MOC) activities and Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives.
• Support PHAs, PSSRs, incident investigations, and corrective action programs.
• Drive projects that improve safety, quality, reliability, throughput, and cost.
• Develop operating procedures, technical documentation, and operator training.
• Partner with operations and maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and TPM programs.
• Support process optimization, plant start-ups, shutdowns, and production trials.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
