K&K Technical Group is seeking a motivated Production Engineer to support new model launches, capital equipment projects, and manufacturing process improvements at a major automotive facility in Princeton, Indiana.

This position emphasizes production engineering, equipment planning, facility layout optimization, and project implementation. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background, hands-on manufacturing experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology with relevant experience.
• 1–2+ years in manufacturing/production engineering.
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, capital projects, or new model development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Inventor, CATIA, or similar 3D modeling software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to support occasional weekends/holidays or plant shutdowns for equipment installations.
• Travel up to 20%, including domestic and potential international travel.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of new model launches and capital equipment projects.
• Analyze layouts, equipment requirements, and production processes to improve efficiency.
• Evaluate impact of new models and engineering changes on assembly operations and material handling.
• Develop and implement manufacturing improvements focused on safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Lead equipment projects from concept through design, procurement, installation, testing, and launch.
• Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and installation plans.
• Conduct equipment feasibility studies and ROI evaluations.
• Support implementation of quality inspection and vision systems.
• Coordinate equipment modifications, process trials, and readiness activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, logistics, production, and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot production equipment and process issues to support objectives.
