Job summary

Staples is seeking a Production Designer, Creative to transform approved concepts into polished, production-ready assets across digital, print, retail, social, and email. You will partner with Creative, Marketing and Project Management to deliver on-brand work with speed and precision.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Graphic Design and 2+ years in production design, proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma, and a strong portfolio across digital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, production design, creative services, an agency, or in-house studio.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience using Figma for design production and asset creation.
• A portfolio demonstrating production-design capabilities across multiple channels.
• Experience creating digital, print, email, social, retail, or marketing assets.
• Strong typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and design best practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong QA, file-preparation, and production-execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Art Directors to translate approved concepts into polished, production-ready assets across digital, print, and other channels.
• Produce and adapt marketing and brand materials for email, social media, paid media, retail environments, presentations, and sales enablement.
• Ensure assets follow brand standards, technical specs, accessibility requirements, and channel guidelines.
• Maintain the visual integrity of approved concepts while adapting content for formats and audiences.
• Apply strong design principles, typography, layout, imagery, and production techniques.
• Conduct quality-assurance reviews to confirm accuracy and production readiness before release.
• Develop, maintain, and use templates, libraries, and design systems for scalable production.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort through automation and new tech.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Project Managers, Marketing partners, and vendors to deliver projects on time.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and standards.
• Proactively identify production challenges, communicate risks, and propose solutions.
• Explore emerging design technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to improve quality and efficiency.
