Pink Rose Clothing is seeking a highly organized Production Coordinator for athletic bags to support the production process from development to bulk production, ensuring timelines, quality, costing, and delivery goals are met.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Production, you will serve as the liaison between internal teams and overseas factories, coordinating samples, factory communications, and schedule management.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years in production coordination for athletic bags or related accessories.
  • Experience with overseas factories and manufacturing partners.
  • Knowledge of technical fabrics, trims, hardware, and construction methods.
  • Understanding of product costing, margins, and production timelines.
  • Experience with price negotiations and factory communications.
  • Familiarity with private label production, compliance requirements, product testing protocols, and shipping procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Manager with day-to-day coordination of athletic bag production.
  • Manage products from development through bulk production.
  • Coordinate production timelines and Time & Action calendars and delivery schedules.
  • Track production samples, sample tracking, and coordinate shipments with domestic and international factories.
  • Maintain production, inventory, and costing spreadsheets with high accuracy.
  • Assist with cost sheet management and margin goals.
  • Follow up with factory partners regarding production status, tracking numbers, and delivery dates.
  • Issue purchase orders after verifying pricing, specs, quantities, and delivery info.
  • Monitor production schedules and communicate delays or issues to stakeholders.
  • Work with Design to coordinate sample development and timely follow-up with factories.
  • Oversee quality control by reviewing production samples against standards.
  • Build relationships with overseas factories, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Support pricing discussions and production negotiations with manufacturing partners.
  • Ensure compliance with private label requirements, testing standards, quality protocols, and shipping instructions.
  • Maintain production documentation and assist with seasonal reporting.

Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Coordinator – Athletic Bags to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting the production process from product development through bulk production while ensuring projects remain on schedule and meet quality, costing, and delivery objectives.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Production, the Production Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between internal teams and overseas factory partners. The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has experience with athletic bags, backpacks, sporting goods, or related accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Manager of Production with the day-to-day coordination of athletic bag production.
  • Manage products throughout the development cycle, from initial sampling through bulk production.
  • Coordinate production timelines while maintaining Time & Action (T&A) calendars and delivery schedules.
  • Manage production samples, sample tracking, and coordinate shipments with domestic and international factories.
  • Maintain production, inventory, and costing spreadsheets with a high level of accuracy.
  • Assist with cost sheet management and support initiatives to achieve company margin goals.
  • Follow up with factory partners regarding production status, tracking numbers, delivery dates, sample approvals, and bulk production updates.
  • Issue purchase orders after verifying pricing, specifications, quantities, and delivery information.
  • Monitor production schedules and communicate potential delays or issues to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Design team to coordinate sample development and ensure timely follow-up with factories.
  • Oversee quality control by reviewing production samples and ensuring products meet company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with overseas factories, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Support pricing discussions and production negotiations with manufacturing partners.
  • Ensure compliance with private label requirements, product testing standards, quality protocols, and customer shipping instructions.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and assist with seasonal reporting as needed.
  • Perform additional production-related duties to support the successful execution of seasonal product launches.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of production coordination or production experience within athletic bags, sports bags, backpacks, handbags, or related accessories.
  • Experience working directly with overseas factories and manufacturing partners.
  • Knowledge of technical fabrics, trims, hardware, and construction methods used in athletic and sporting bags.
  • Understanding of product costing, margin objectives, and production timelines.
  • Experience with price negotiations and factory communications.
  • Familiarity with private label production, compliance requirements, product testing protocols, and shipping procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including tracking spreadsheets, production schedules, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in athletic bags, backpacks, sporting goods, or accessories manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of international production processes and supply chain coordination.
  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, or other production management systems is a plus.
