Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Production Coordinator to join our team. This role manages the master production schedule and coordinates print and inserting operations on the floor, ensuring adherence to SLAs and timely job progression.

Shift is 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The position requires strong communication, urgency management, and ability to train on systems like Jira, Excel, or Mainframe to support production goals.

Responsibilities

Your Opportunity:

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Production Coordinator to join our team!

Your Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a master production schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each Print and Inserting operation into a sequential production work schedule while assisting in production activity control to meet production objectives while spending a good deal of time out on the floor.
  • Plans and schedules workflow for print and mail operations with hourly production floor updates and flight check job status to determine SLA targets of all large job orders while assisting in processing job orders and moving to planned machines according to the established schedule.
  • Expedite job orders to meet unforeseen production conditions by tracking jobs throughout the shift and providing hourly status updates on jobs at risk and or constraints with a recommended solution.
  • Works closely with Account Management/Client Service team by responding to all email inquiries and production requests with a sense of urgency and alerting the Production Managers on those inquiries.
  • Provide ongoing updates to site leadership regarding down equipment or jobs being held up due to an issue by reaching out to the IT, Programming or Client Service Account Managers during the shift.
  • Assesses scheduling performance and advise the team on status and preventive/corrective actions required to meet all SLAs for that day while helping to stage the floor and update Job Boards.
  • Plan and monitor material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations while working with the Warehouse Material handling team.
  • Prepares daily shift reports as required by the Production Managers while maintaining up-to-date knowledge on production objectives, strategies and support activities during the shift.
  • Updates SQDIPC boards and reports
Your Shift:

7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

You Must Have:
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to assist Managers in controlling production activities while maintaining production goals.
  • Ability to train on multiple business systems and business tools via Jira, Excel or the Mainframe.
  • Ability to Schedule equipment and plan materials and machine needs for each job order.
  • Ability to track down jobs and add written special instructions on job orders with clarity.
We Would Also Prefer:
  • Print & Mail Industry experience and or the ability to train on processes and systems
  • 2+ years of experience in the production machine operations or in a related area
  • Excellent stamina, capacity, capabilities and characteristics that fit this role
  • Tactical Skills, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking and Operational Engagement
  • Leadership ability with potential to advance to the next level
