Job summary

Taylor Corporation’s Precision Press division seeks a Production Assembly and Support team member at our North Mankato-MN facility. You will perform hand operations, inspect quality, and prepare orders according to specs.

The role requires reading and following instructions, clear communication with teammates, basic math, and willingness to float across departments. First shift, Thursday–Saturday with every other Sunday, 5am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow general written instructions.
• Clear spoken and written communication with fellow employees.
• Ability to perform basic math functions in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand operations such as applying labels, cutting, wrapping, and using foot controls as applicable.
• Pack products in boxes and ensure proper sealing and labeling for shipping.
• Stack and move printed materials on pallets and transport to staging areas.
• Read and follow job instructions to produce orders according to specs.
• Maintain attendance and collaborate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Be willing to float across departments to assist where needed.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.

Your Opportunity

Precision Press, a division of Taylor Corporation, is looking for a Production Assembly and Support team member in our North Mankato-MN facility.

Work Authorization

Your Responsibilities

• Perform various hand operations such as applying labels to products, cut, wrap products, use tape dispensers and the use of feet for flexion/repetitive motion as in operating foot controls.
• Pack products in boxes and tape lids of boxes shut appropriately for proper shipping while inspecting product for any quality defects.
• Stack, pack, and transport printed materials in various stages of completion on pallets as it accumulates on delivery tables of specific equipment.
• Responsible for reading and following specific job instructions to produce an order according to spec.
• Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines as well as be able to work constructively with co‑workers, supervisors, vendors while performing daily responsibilities.
• Ability and willingness to float across departments and assist where needed.
• Follow safety rules, procedures and standards.
• Duties may occasionally be performed while seated but will likely be performed while standing.

General Examples

Crater/Packer II, Light Assembler II, Folder Operator Assistant, Floor Assembler II, General Laborer, Sr., Electronics Assembler I, Precision Assembler I, May operate base equipment when needed.

Your Shift

1st Shift; Thursday - Saturday with every other Sunday, 5am to 5pm.

You Must Have

• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job specific written documents.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Ability to work in an environment with regular exposure to printing inks, solvents, and chemicals; required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials.
• Frequently required to move inside the facility.
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry).
• The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17 - 19. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
