Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of foods—meats, vegetables, desserts—according to recipes and instructions.
• Weigh and measure ingredients; follow recipes to produce consistent products.
• Cook dishes for 8 store locations following established procedures.
• Prepare meats, fish, or poultry by cleaning, cutting, and cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 2 years of culinary experience in high-volume or catering kitchens.
• Experience in mass production environments preferred.
• Excellent knife skills and cooking proficiency.
• Ability to follow recipes and take direction.
• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

This position is based at our Hunts Point, Bronx Commissary location.
