Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Production Controller in Goleta, CA to manage material requirements, inventory, and shop floor flow. You will coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing and other teams to resolve material issues and keep schedules on track.

The role requires a High School diploma and hands-on ERP experience with Deltek Costpoint and MS Office. Familiarity with 5S and continuous improvement is a plus, and a team-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially Deltek Costpoint, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintains schedules for material requirements to support production control.
• Optimize inventory storage systems.
• Interface with Production, Quality, Purchasing to resolve material issues.
• Decide part categorization, default bin size and location.
• Research kit shortages, expedite missing kits, and ensure kit integration.
• Understand, research, and reconcile traceability.
• Ensure inventory processes meet quality standards.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement.
• Manage projects using relevant software and track completion dates.
• Support organization metric goals and objectives.
• Analyze material flow to reduce request-to-delivery time.
• Receive and transact incoming material in MRP system.
• Conduct cycle counts to validate quantities and locations.
• Expedite flow of materials within departments per schedules.
• Escalate potential shortages with proper actions.
