Northrop Grumman is seeking a Production Controller in Goleta, CA to manage material requirements, inventory, and shop floor flow. You will coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing and other teams to resolve material issues and keep schedules on track.

The role requires a High School diploma and hands-on ERP experience with Deltek Costpoint and MS Office. Familiarity with 5S and continuous improvement is a plus, and a team-focused mindset is essential.

• Analyze material flow to reduce request-to-delivery time.
• Receive and transact incoming material in MRP system.
• Conduct cycle counts to validate quantities and locations.
• Expedite flow of materials within departments per schedules.
• Escalate potential shortages with proper actions.

We are seeking a Production Controller to support operations in our Goleta, CA location.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control by optimizing inventory storage systems.
• Optimize inventory storage systems.
• Interface with Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, Production Control and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material.
• Make decisions on part categorization, default bin size and location
• Research kit shortages, expedite missing kits, and be meticulous in kit integration.
• Understand, research, and reconcile traceability.
• Ensure inventory processes comply with quality standards and procedures.
• Participate in 5S and other continuous improvement practices.
• Manage projects using relevant software tools and track to meet completion dates.
• Support the organization's metric goals and objectives.
• Analyze flow of material to reduce time of request to delivery.
• Receive and transact all incoming material in MRP system.
• Conduct cycle counts to validate quantity, revision levels, stock location, and transfers.
• Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
• Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Experience with inventory operations within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (Deltek Costpoint) system and Microsoft applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Prefer experience with Kiting
• Liaising between manufacturing & Inventorying
• Excellent verbal and written communication ability

Primary Level Salary Range: $36,500.00 - $60,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
