Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Production Coordinator to analyze production loads, coordinate planning, and manage schedules for assigned manufacturing areas. The role focuses on achieving on-time delivery with minimal cost, while guiding lower level staff.

Responsibilities include analyzing schedules, evaluating capacity, coordinating material readiness, and performing material handling using forklifts. A high school diploma with related college courses and SAP/MRP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with college courses in production control or related field.
• 2 years of Production Control experience in a large/heavy manufacturing environment.
• Experience using SAP or similar MRP/ERP/MES system.
• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production schedules and material status to identify conflicts and take corrective action.
• Evaluate loads and schedules; propose alternatives or subcontracting as needed.
• Assess current and future capacity to meet lead times and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate the efforts of lower level personnel in assigned duties.
• Plan requirements and materials to achieve on-time delivery; suggest improvements.
• Operate stacker, standup forklift, and hand truck to move and stage material.
• Perform work of equal or lower level as required.
