Job summary

Toyota Boshoku America in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking a hands-on Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations on the designated shift. You will oversee shipping, receiving, inventory control, and product delivery to manufacturing, while guiding Team Members to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.

You will apply TPS principles, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum one (1) year of production control or logistics experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge and experience with TPS and Production Efficiency (PEFF) system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a first-line leader over team members.
• Participate in a manufacturing system and team environment on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects.
• Follow, understand, and support assigned team members to follow all standard work procedures associated with each task and all company policies, as trained, according to the training plan.
• Support assigned team members to meet production control requirements and complete all production control information sheets within required timeframe.
• Develop and maintains positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony.
• Provide direction and motivation to team members emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, and morale.
• Lead continuous improvement activity for assigned area.
• Participate in the setting of KPI targets including safety, quality, operational availability, PEFF, scrap, etc.
