Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Production Control Planner II at its Chatsworth, CA site to plan and coordinate production material requirements. You will release work orders to the shop floor and manage material availability to meet customer delivery dates.

This onsite role reports to the Planning Manager and requires ERP/MRP experience and APICS preferred. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with process flow charts and BOM concepts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ERP/MRP system experience required.
• MS Office proficiency required.
• APICS Certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and track production material requirements for aircraft products.
• Utilize MRP system to plan, create, and release work orders to the shop floor to meet shipping dates according to customer orders and other dependent demands.
• Create and release work orders to the shop floor in a timely manner.
• Create and maintain process flow charts for key, critical, or new products where applicable.
• Schedule, prioritize, and monitor production processes and material availability, while working closely with various departments to meet delivery dates.
• Review forecast orders and adjust build schedule work orders accordingly.
• Understand multi-level bills of materials, MRP demand and supply, lead-time, safety stock, min and max quantities.
