Job summary

System One is seeking a Production Control Specialist III for a contract assignment on the Cape Canaveral, FL site. The role focuses on backlog reduction, expediting hot jobs, and maintaining MRP/ERP data integrity on a Friday-Sunday 5am-5pm shift.

The ideal candidate has hands-on ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Costpoint or similar), the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to cover off-nominal shifts as needed.

Qualifications

Experience with schedule management, expediting, or backlog/data clean-up in manufacturing or production.
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Costpoint, or similar) and data manipulation.
Ability to work independently in a high-tempo, high-ambiguity environment.
Willingness to support off-nominal shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

Drive down the work-order backlog by dispositioning idle or unnecessary orders and closing out stalled ones.
Execute targeted expedite efforts on hot jobs to prevent schedule slip and ensure material availability.
Provide off-nominal shift coverage and handle routine escalations to keep WIP moving.
Maintain MRP/ERP data integrity and communicate daily backlog status to leads.
Flag blockers and communicate with area leads rather than bypassing signals.
