Job summary

System One is seeking a Production Control Specialist III - A for a 1-year, onsite assignment in Cape Canaveral, FL. This role targets backlog cleanup and schedule discipline to support our core Production Control team.

You will drive reduction of aging work orders, expedite hot jobs, maintain ERP/MRP data integrity, and provide off-nominal shift coverage to keep WIP moving toward the plan. Strong data skills and independent work style are a must.

Qualifications

• Experience with backlog remediation and expediting in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on work in ERP/MRP data and systems (SAP, Costpoint or similar).
• Ability to work independently on backlog with minimal ramp-up.
• Willingness to support off-nominal shifts to keep WIP moving.
• Experience across development and production manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive down the work-order backlog: dispositioning idle/no-need-date orders and closing out orders.
• Execute targeted expedite efforts on hot jobs and blockers to prevent schedule slip.
• Provide off-nominal shift coverage and handle escalations to keep WIP moving.
• Maintain MRP/ERP data integrity and communicate backlog status daily.
• Partner with the FTE PC team and support other work centers when backlog is clear.
