Job summary

Jtekt-Column-Systems-North-America is seeking a Production Control Assistant to support the Production Control Manager with forecasting and scheduling. You will ensure inventories stay aligned with production needs and coordinate with multiple departments to keep operations running smoothly.

You will also engage with customers as needed, maintain records, and expedite materials when required, contributing to efficient production and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years’ experience in a production control environment.
• Associate’s degree in production management preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong math aptitude and detail orientation.
• Ability to work with others and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with standard office software and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Production Control Manager to help provide correct forecasts.
• Provide departments with necessary schedules as directed by Production Control Manager.
• Communicate with customer as needed.
• Maintain proper inventory levels through timely ordering/releases.
• Work closely with production departments on production control issues which will allow them to more efficiently meet their needs.
• Keep accurate records of inventory either manually or computerized.
• Expedites materials on an as required basis.
• Responsible for analyzing MRP requirements, and change P.O.’s accordingly.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
