AVANGRID SERVICE COMPANY in Orange, CT is seeking an Associate Analyst – Production Control to monitor and manage batch workflows using Control-M, UC4, and Autosys. You will ensure timely batch processing, troubleshoot routine failures, and support production environments across development, testing, and production.

The role offers office on-site work with opportunities to contribute to automation and standard-setting within IT Production Control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field and 1+ year(s) of relevant experience in IT operations, production support, or job scheduling.
• Good communication (verbal and written) including documentation skills.
• Basic hands-on experience in IT operations, including enterprise job scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of Unix/AIX/Wintel operating systems.
• Knowledge of IBM utilities, shell scripting, Python and/or PowerShell for automation.
• Troubleshooting skills, reviewing logs, scripts and fixing jobs / automated batch processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and execute batch jobs using enterprise scheduling tools (Control‑M, UC4, Autosys).
• Ensure timely completion of daily and nightly batch processing under defined SLAs.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine job failures using documented procedures; escalate when needed.
• Support consistency of batch schedules across development, testing, and production environments.
• Assist with basic scripting and job automation tasks and enhance system performance.
• Assist in developing Production Support standards and procedures.
• Support application teams with job scheduling requests and production issues.
• Work independently on assigned projects specialized for Production Support.
• Provide technical assistance to applications and computer operations area.
• Participate in incident, change, and problem management activities following ITSM processes.
• Assist in generating operational reports and dashboards related to job performance and batch health.
• Support audit readiness and compliance documentation assessment.
• On a rotating basis, provide on-call support 24 hours 7 days a week.
