Production Casting Press Operator (Caster) 3rd Shift

CASTER – 2nd SHIFT
This hourly position ensures customers receive quality die cast products by casting components using a casting press and sending quality castings to the trim press.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Performs all position operations as directed by SWAT charts and supervisors.
• Performs typical casting press operations to support production goals in accordance with the Gibbs Shop Floor Management System.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Group lead/Casting Technician.
• Analyzes die problems and alerts supervisor of any problems.
• Performs minor die repairs and assists in die changes and sleeve changes.
• Works in a hot, non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Responsibilities may require use of a safety harness which will require successful completion of Fall Protection-Harness Specific Training.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as assigned.
• Meets all physical and environmental requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Certifications: N/A

Experience: One year manufacturing experience (molten metal environment preferred).
