Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate in Rocky Mount, VA to fabricate and assemble window components. The role operates Monday–Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM, with a training period that may last up to six weeks.

Expect a fast-paced, physically demanding environment involving heavy lifting and repetitive tasks. Ideal candidates will have manufacturing experience and be able to read a tape measure and work from written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Able to pass background check and drug test.
• Able to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; tape measure reading preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and produce component parts for final window assembly.
• Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, repetitive environment.
• Assist with delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Operate hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as required.
• Read and follow verbal and written instructions and work orders.
• Observe and inspect for defects and read measurements as instructed.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Day Shift 6AM-6PM

Monday - Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Training period require working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
