Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Marion, Ohio, is seeking an Extrusion Associate for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM). You will fabricate components for final window assemblies and operate hand and power tools in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Duties include reading work orders and measurements, performing repetitive production tasks, and training new staff. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and pass background and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Able to pass background check and drug test.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.
• Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Use a tape measure and read measurements as required.

JOB DETAILS

Pay starting at $17 per hour

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

The Extrusion Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during the interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
