Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rocky Mount, VA is seeking a Production Associate to fabricate components for final window assemblies. The role involves repetitive, physical work in a fast-paced environment with standard 6:00 AM–6:00 PM shifts, Monday–Friday.

The position supports window operations, uses various hand and power tools, and requires following verbal and written instructions. Prior manufacturing experience and tape measure reading are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure

JOB DETAILS

• Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
• Day Shift 6AM-6PM
• Monday - Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.
• Training period requires working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees
