Job summary

Goodyear is hiring for a Retread Technician at our Howell, MI location. You will join the retread team responsible for extending tire life by inspecting tires, buffing casings, repairing damage, applying new tread, and curing the retread for a safe final product.

The role involves hands-on manufacturing tasks in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for overtime and career advancement. Starting pay ranges from $21.00 to $26.00 per hour with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing.
• Repair the casing with rubber cement or a patch before applying new tread.
• Build the tire by applying new tread.
• Cure the tire to mold the retread application.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.
