Pay rate: $17/hr with a $1.00 shift differential

Job Description

The Production Associate 2 at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for windows & doors assembly operations while ensuring safe and quality production, minimizing waste, and meeting delivery schedules.

What You'll Do
  • Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products.
  • Support and participate in employee engagement activities.
  • Follow defined clean‑up times.
  • Work safely and follow safe work practices and policies.
  • Maintain an established rate as defined by customer demand and standardized operations.
  • Participate in defining and improving standard work to enhance quality for customers.
  • Identify problems and communicate issues.
  • Assist with training co‑workers.
  • Support a respectful workplace.
  • Perform other duties across the plant as needed and directed by supervision or management.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read written words and numbers and use visual cues.
  • Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and know when to change PPE.
  • Identify hazards while understanding safety protocols and PPE.
  • Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances.
  • Follow instruction and standard work while referencing standard work instructions.
  • Recognize product defects relevant to the workstation.
  • Understand quality requirements and critical to quality (CTQ).
  • Communicate effectively by listening, explaining clearly, asking questions, and sharing important information.
  • Time management and awareness of cycle times.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals.
  • Interface with a computer system for data entry and navigation.
  • Ability to stand 8–10 hours with good posture and repetitive motion.
  • Problem solving using root cause analysis.
  • Dependability and punctuality.
  • Recognize shapes and compare to sample drawings.
  • Monitor inventory adhering to minimum‑maximum levels; monitor waste and scrap utilization.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, legible record keeping and scrap records.
  • Train operators and oversee multiple workstations.
  • Interpret and understand schedule adherence and manage line flow.
  • Lead when required.
  • Wear required PPE: metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Perform physical tasks: bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, stand, lift at least 50 pounds, and work 8–12 hours a day.
  • Work in hot and cold environments and be willing to work extended hours and weekends based on business needs.
  • Cross‑train in various positions and departments.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Follow supervisors’ instructions and directions.
  • Skills in problem solving, teamwork, communication, and initiative.
  • Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and ERP functionality.
