About the Role

Production Associate I employee at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various windows & doors assembly operations while ensuring safe, quality, cost‑effective production and timely delivery to customers.

Pay rate: $16/hr with a $1.00 shift differential

What You'll Do

• Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products
• Support and participate in employee engagement activities
• Follow defined clean‑up times
• Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies
• Must follow and work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and standardized operations
• Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality windows for customers
• Identify problems and communicate issues
• Assist with training co‑workers
• Support a respectful workplace
• Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management

What You'll Need

• Ability to read a tape measure as well as read and interpret fractions and decimals
• Read at least minimum word and number recognition / visual cues
• Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and knowing when to change PPE
• Identify hazards while understanding station knowledge of safety hazards/protocols/PPE
• Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances
• Follow instruction and standard work while frequently referencing standard work instructions
• Knowledge of product defects specifically to their workstation
• Recognize quality requirements/CTQ in station quality requirements
• Communicate effectively by actively listening, explaining clearly, asking questions, sharing important info
• Time management and awareness of cycle times
• Perform math by adding numbers, subtracting, including fractions and decimals
• Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, identifying, downloading
• Stand for 8–10 hours using good posture and repetitive motion
• Problem solving using root cause analysis
• Dependability, punctuality, and detail orientation
• High school diploma is preferred
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and stand is required
• Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds for 8–12 hours a day is required
• Ability to work in hot & cold environment is required
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends based on business needs
• Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross‑trained) is required
• Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods is required
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations, is required
• Follow supervisors' instructions/directions as given is required
• Possess skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication, and initiative
• Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality
