Job description

Pay rate: $17/hr

Location: 300 Welcome Center Blvd, Lexington, NC 27295

Responsibilities
  • Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products.
  • Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
  • Follow defined clean‑up times.
  • Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies.
  • Must follow and work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and standardized operations.
  • Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality windows for customers.
  • Identify problems, communicate issues.
  • Assist with training co‑workers.
  • Support a respectful workplace.
  • Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.
  • Read at least minimum word and number recognition/visual cues.
  • Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and know when to change PPE.
  • Identify hazards while understanding station knowledge of safety hazards/protocols/PPE.
  • Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances.
  • Follow instruction and Standard Work while frequently referencing Standard work instructions.
  • Knowledge of product defects specifically to their workstation.
  • Quality recognition in station quality requirements/CTQ.
  • Communicate effectively by actively listening, explaining clearly & accurately, asking questions, sharing important info.
  • Time management and aware of cycle times.
  • Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals).
  • Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, identifying download.
  • Stand for 8 to 10 hours using good posture and repetitive motion.
  • Problem solving using Root Cause Analysis.
  • Dependability being on time consistently.
  • Profile recognition ability to recognize shapes and compare to sample drawing.
  • Monitor inventory by adhering to min‑max levels (WIP) and utilization of scrap.
  • Record keeping being accurate, timely, legible/scrap.
  • Ability to train operators.
  • Ability to oversee multiple workstations.
  • Interpret and understand schedule adherence.
  • Manage line flow.
  • Lead.
  • Wear required PPE – metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses.
  • Dependability/punctuality & detail oriented.
  • High school diploma is preferred.
Qualifications
  • Bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand required.
  • Consistently lift at least 50 lbs, 8 to 12 hours a day required.
  • Work in hot & cold environment required.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekend based on business needs required.
  • Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross‑trained) required.
  • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods required.
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations required.
  • Follow supervisors instructions/directions as given required.
  • Possess the following skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication and initiative.
  • Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
