Job summary

Sonoco Columbus, OH is hiring for a Production Associate I. The role is on-site in Columbus, Ohio with a pay rate of $27.36 per hour plus a shift differential of $0.50 for day shifts and $0.75 for night shifts. The schedule is 4 on, 4 off, with either day or night shift options.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect product throughout the shift and notify shift production lead and quality technician of any quality defects.
  • Keep work area and machinery clean and safe.
  • Enter production and quality information into production software.
  • Communicate pertinent information to next shift.
  • Perform cleanup, painting, and housekeeping duties.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company.
  • Participate in teams and work groups with goal of continuous improvement.
  • Comply with job safety practices and procedures.
  • Support food safety system guidelines.
  • Stage and maintain packaging materials and follow packaging procedures.
  • Provide on-the-job training of assigned personnel.
  • Inspect in-process materials and in-process finished products.
  • Replenish supplies and materials required for the assigned area.

Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.
