Job description

Primary Purpose:

• Days and shift times vary.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain quality standards by inspecting seals, code dates, labels, packaging, weights, odor, color, and temperature of products.
2. Insert components into cartons, record weights, and ensure data accuracy.
3. Use supplies accurately and efficiently.
4. Stack products at the end of the line on skids, involving reaching, bending, and twisting.
5. Operate packing or filling equipment.
6. Keep records on manual, computer, and other systems as required.
7. Maintain cleanliness and adhere to Kraft quality standards in the work area.
8. Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, trash pickup, and lifting trash bags.
9. Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
10. Perform sanitation and maintenance tasks as needed.
11. Check products and complete quality documentation.
12. Peel out and salvage rejected products.
13. Follow GMPs outlined in the handbook.
14. Collaborate with team members to promote teamwork.
15. Perform production or sanitation duties as assigned.
16. Work across various areas including floors, coolers, and production zones.
17. Participate actively in safety and efficiency improvement teams.
18. Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
19. Maintain equipment using the KHMS system and settings.
20. Complete maintenance tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, and lubrication.
21. Engage in training for upgrade and relief positions within the department.
22. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
23. Apply KHMS practices such as 5S, shift hand-offs, and problem solving.

Minimum Requirements:

• Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
• Work primarily indoors in environments ranging from cool to hot and humid, with sanitation exposure.
• Work from Vertilifts, ladders, and platforms as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a Fork Truck License.

Physical Requirements:

• Bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching at various heights.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and gripping objects; climbing stairs.
• Ability to pull and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for operating and maintaining equipment.
• Ability to stand during tasks involving component insertion.
• Perform sustained physical activities.
