Job Title: Manufacturing Production Associate (MPA) 1

Department: Production

Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary:

The MPA 1 plays a vital role in our success by performing standard activities in full compliance with work instructions and safety standards. They will be trained to perform their tasks safely and at a high quality level, with the opportunity to attain MPA2 certification based on their skills and competence.

The MPA 1 will receive support from their Team Leader for training and coaching, and is expected to actively identify safety concerns, raise issues promptly, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement. They will be part of a team committed to creating a safe and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Model safety-first behavior and support a Kaizen mindset to foster a positive work culture.
  • Adhere to safety policies and standards, and report safety or quality issues immediately.
  • Understand key performance indicators related to People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost, and contribute to their achievement.
  • Obtain Lean Awareness certification and implement at least one Kaizen per month.
  • Support problem-solving efforts and participate actively in team initiatives.
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Achieve MPA2 certification and Lean Awareness within 8 weeks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to learn to operate a forklift, with a valid driver's license.
  • Commitment to standardized work and safety policies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to change, and work extended hours including some Saturdays.
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, and punctual.
