Production Associate 4 (Sit down Forklift Operator)

Job Details

Base Pay: $20.00 per hour

Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

Duties and Responsibilities

The forklift operator is responsible for safely locating, transporting, and loading building materials into trailers. The role involves working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with heavy lifting and manual tasks.

• Participate in safety walks and stand-up meetings
• Investigate last known scan locations in WINTRAK for windows and doors
• Unload and load windows and patio doors onto carts safely
• Retrieve custom windows and doors from holding carts
• Load windows and patio doors onto trailers following manifest stops
• Label units before scanning and loading
• Scan stock and custom units to trailer locations
• Move carts in and out of the loading area safely
• Record stock pallet locations and submit forms for retrieval
• Properly strap and secure loaded items
• Clean trailers before loading
• Follow 5S guidelines at the workstation
• Engage and disengage dock lock appropriately
• Operate sit-down forklift safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for entire shift
• Cross-train and rotate through various workstations
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret data
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Experience with computerized equipment
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Previous certification and experience operating electric or gas-powered forklifts
