Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring for a Second Shift Production Associate at our Tolleson, AZ facility. Base pay is $18.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, with overtime potential. The shift runs 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.

You will perform manual material handling, packaging, stacking, and assist machine operators in a hot manufacturing environment. Training is provided in forklift and overhead crane operation, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related work experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Forklift/overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Must be able to work in a hot environment.
• Proficient with basic measuring instruments.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $18.00 per hour + $1.00 in shift differential

Bonus Pay every 3 months

2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

This position sits within our Fortify Building Solutions business, which serves the pre-engineered metal buildings, metal roof and wall systems, and steel building components industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manual material handling
• Packaging
• Stacking material
• Assisting machine operators
• Handle basic powered hand tools
• Work safely and effectively to meet deadlines
• Work safely and collaboratively within a team environment

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
• Forklift experience a plus
• Overhead crane experience a plus
• Company provides in house training and certification of forklift/overhead crane
• General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
  
• Able to work in a hot environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
