Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a 2nd shift general laborer for our Monticello, IA plant. You will read routings, track production, and notify supervision of issues while maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

You will perform labor across shop departments and move materials using an overhead crane and forklift. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in a manufacturing setting, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year minimum experience in a high production manufacturing environment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data to select materials.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am (Monday thru Thursday)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
• Track production on schedule boards
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
• Moving of raw materials with overhead crane and forklift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in high production manufacturing environment
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts
• Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required
• Perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and divisionli>
• Use power hand tools
• Drive a forklift
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micrometer)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
