Job summary

Pacific Cheese is hiring a Production Associate for the 2nd Shift in Reno, NV. The role focuses on verifying and maintaining records for shipments, data entry and inventory movement analysis in a warehouse environment.

The position runs starting 2:15pm, Monday–Friday with occasional overtime. Starting pay is $21.50/hr, and the company offers health, dental and vision benefits, life insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure documentation is timely, accurate and complete.
• Compile records of unfilled orders and forward information to designated personnel.
• Check carriers in and out according to company guidelines.
• Prepare bill of ladings and load documents for future shipments.
• Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify cheese-receiving documentations for completeness and compliance with procedures.
• Coordinate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Ensure accuracy of all data entries by reviewing edit-posting reports before posting.

We're currently hiring a Production Associate for 2 nd Shift. Shift schedule starting 2:15pm Monday-Friday (occasional overtime). Starting Pay $21.50/hr.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for verifying and maintaining records on outgoing and incoming shipments. Requires documents to be prepared timely and accurately. Performs a variety of manual checking, summarization, reconciliation, data entry and analysis of data involved in the accurate processing of inventory movements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure documentation is timely, accurate and complete.
• Compile records of unfilled orders and forward information to designated personnel.
• Check carriers in & out according to the company guidelines.
• Comply with the FedEx and incoming package company guidelines.
• Prepare bill of ladings.
• Prepares pick tickets & load documents for future shipments and runs necessary reports.
• Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify cheese-receiving documentations for completeness and compliance with company’s receiving procedures.
• Coordinate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders and receiving documentations prior to data entry and posting.
• Ensure accuracy of all data entries by reviewing edit-posting report prior to actual posting in the system.
• Attend all department and company required trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a warehouse/production type atmosphere where the temperature is as low as 32 degrees (typically 45-55 degrees). Noise level in production environment may require the use of hearing protection. Requires standing for long period of time frequently twisting, turning, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting material up to 50lbs.
