Job summary

GE HealthCare in Phoenix is hiring a Production Support Specialist to join the manufacturing team. Responsibilities include performing manufacturing and assembly operations, basic testing, packaging, and shipping transducers and probes to customers, while adhering to procedures and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, zero to six months of related manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow procedures and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing/assembly operations following bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets.
• Maintain daily production output.
• Perform basic manufacturing/assembly/refurbishment operations.
• Complete basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure manufacturing documentation is correct/current.
• Follow EHS and Quality policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality control inspections when required.
• Work with team leaders, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned and may be included in quality activities and training sessions.
• Work with team to improve quality and reduce cycle time.
• Participate in 55S activities led by team lead/management.
• May assist with training peers when required.

The production associate may have responsibilities including manufacturing, assembly, basic testing, packaging, machine operations and shipping of transducers and probes to internal and external customers.

As a Production Support Specialist your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets.
• Maintains daily production output.
• Performs basic manufacturing/assembly/refurbishment operations.
• Complete basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure manufacturing documentation is correct/current.
• Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures.
• Participates in quality control inspections when required.
• Works with team leaders, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams.
• Work with team to improve quality and reduce cycle time.
• Participate in 55S activities led by team lead/management.
• May assist with training peers when required.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent • 0 to 6 months of related manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
