Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The Side Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating a 30,000-lb capacity side loader to transport small and large metal materials throughout the facility. This role supports production by staging materials, loading machines, and ensuring efficient material flow in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 30,000-lb capacity side loader to transport metal materials within the facility.
• Stage materials and load machines to support production processes.
• Ensure efficient material flow in the manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift.
• Ability to measure accurately using a tape measure.
• Experience with side loader operations.

Work Environment

The work environment is a steel manufacturing facility where employees are surrounded by large pieces of steel, metal, copper, and brass. Safety is the top priority in this non-climate-controlled setting. The position operates on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, with training provided on the 1st shift for a month.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
