Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. via O'Brien Corporation is seeking a Production Associate to set up, prepare and operate machines and assemble products from drawings. The role requires attention to detail and clear communication with supervisors and teammates.

Responsibilities include assembling components, using power saws/routers/drills, maintaining the work area, recording production data, and lifting up to 50 pounds (team lift up to 120 pounds). Training provided for independent work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• 5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable Production Associate who is able to set up, prepare and operate machines and assemble products based on drawings. The ideal candidate will need to have attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly of components and install into enclosures.
• Will be required to use a variety of power saws, routers and drills
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of work area and tools on daily and weekly basis.
• Recording and reporting production data and performance indicators.
• Will be required to lift up to 50 pounds individually and team lift up to 120 pounds.
• Will need to be able to work independently after being trained.

Required Experience & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• 5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment

• Proficient with measuring devices, tape measures, square, rulers, calipers, etc.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints
• Carpentry skills
