Job summary

International Paper in Lafayette, Louisiana is hiring a Production Associate to support a 24-hour operation. The role involves assisting machine operators, learning to run converting/corrugating equipment, and ensuring product quality and safety.

The position is full-time with rotating shifts and a pay rate of $20.46 per hour. Ideal candidates have basic math and computer skills, reliable transportation, and prior manufacturing experience; training is provided and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators in operating converting, corrugating, banding, print/cut and feed equipment.
• Train to become Machine Operator.
• May train to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment.
• Read and follow factory orders and machine instructions; complete quality and admin documents.
• Clean-up duties around the machine such as blowing down, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the area.

Position Title: Production Associate

Pay Rate: $20.46

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time –Rotating Shifts –24 hour operation

Physical Location: International Paper, 204 Southpark Road, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508

We are a fast paced, industrial environment. The Job You Will Perform

• Assist Machine Operators in operating machines that convert, corrugate, band,print/cut and feed product
• Train to become Machine Operators
• May train to operate specialized Powered Industrial Trucks/Equipment
• Utilize basic shop math and read factory orders and machine instructions
• Accurately complete quality and administrative documents and follow directions
• This person will also be assigned to clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up and shredding scrap.
