Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, safetyfocused Production Associate to support daily operations in a fastpaced steel manufacturing environment. In this role, you help ensure highquality production, efficient workflow, and the safe operation of equipment throughout the facility while working closely with machine operators, welders, and other production team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the manufacturing, processing, and handling of steel piling, pipe, and structural products in accordance with production standards and procedures.

  • Load and unload steel materials safely, ensuring all items are properly tagged, staged, and stored to support accurate inventory and smooth workflow.

  • Perform quality checks on materials by verifying measurements, specifications, and overall product integrity using appropriate tools and methods.

  • Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily output goals and support ontime delivery of products.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazardfree work area in alignment with safety and housekeeping standards.

  • Support machine operators and welders with material preparation, staging, and workflow coordination to keep production running efficiently.

  • Operate hand and power tools, basic machinery, and related equipment in a safe and effective manner after proper training.

  • Use a tape measure and other measuring tools accurately to confirm dimensions and product specifications.

  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or production delays promptly to supervisors so they can be addressed quickly.

  • Participate in daily safety meetings and consistently follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.

  • Contribute to field labor, construction, and assembly tasks as needed to support overall production requirements.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for verifying dimensions and product specifications.

  • Experience using hand and power tools safely in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing setting.

  • Experience in field labor, construction, assembly, or similar handson work environments.

  • Capability to assist with basic machine operation in a production setting after training.

  • Strong focus on safety, with the ability to follow OSHA and company safety protocols and participate actively in safety meetings.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, loading, and unloading steel materials throughout the shift.

  • Attention to detail for performing quality checks and verifying measurements, specifications, and product integrity.

  • Reliability in following production schedules, work orders, and meeting daily output goals.

  • Organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work area in line with housekeeping standards.

  • Clear communication skills to report equipment issues, safety concerns, and production delays promptly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in steel manufacturing, metal fabrication, or heavy industrial production environments is beneficial.

  • Comfort working around welding operations and supporting welders with material preparation and staging.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Willingness to crosstrain in different production tasks and support various areas of the facility as needed.

  • Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to collaborate closely with machine operators, welders, and other production staff.

Work Environment

This role is based in a nonclimatecontrolled steel manufacturing facility, where work is performed around heavy materials, machinery, and welding operations. The standard shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with average weekly hours around 44. Occasional extended days, including the possibility of working up to 14 hours when business needs require, may occur but are not common. The environment is fastpaced and physically demanding, requiring comfort with standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift while adhering to strict safety and housekeeping standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cartersville, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
