About the Production Assistant
Soona is looking for organized, tech-savvy, and creatively driven Production Assistants (“PAs”) to support our studio teams on a contract basis. This is a flexible, on-demand role — engagements may be booked hourly for individual shoot days or on a project basis for multi-day productions. PAs are a critical hand on set and in the studio, helping producers and creatives keep production running smoothly from prep through wrap.
This is an independent contractor position. Compensation will be structured as either an hourly rate or a flat project rate, depending on the scope of the assignment. Specific rates (starting at $24/hr), scheduling expectations, and booking cadence will be discussed prior to engagement. This role requires reliable transportation to either our Denver or Minneapolis studio.
What You'll Do
Prep product packages for shoots, including intake and organization of client products
Support producers with any on-set needs during live shoots
Partake in light styling efforts on set
Help maintain an efficient, organized studio and warehouse space, including light cleaning and shooting bay setup/breakdown
Communicate with clients as needed during production
Create detailed, accurate editing notes for the post-production team
Run business-related errands as needed
Execute production tasks with a high level of efficiency and professionalism aligned with Soona standards
Adapt to changing processes and priorities with a positive attitude
Take on additional tasks as needed to support the production team
What You'll Bring
1+ years of experience in inventory management
1+ years of experience in production (studio, film, photo/video, or similar)
Strong organizational and systems-oriented thinking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfort working closely within a team environment
Reliable transportation and availability to work at both the Denver and Minneapolis studios
Google Suite experience is a plus
Additional Requirements
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in both storage/warehouse and studio settings
Strong multitasking skills, especially in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Availability to accept bookings on a flexible, as-needed basis (hourly or per-project)
