Job summary

Sinclair, Inc. is seeking a studio support professional to prepare the live studio for newscasts, operate the teleprompter, and track cues and talent positions.

The role involves assisting guests and talent with microphones and equipment, moving cameras and set pieces, and maintaining cleanliness of the studio space. Candidates should have experience in a live production environment or a related degree, be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and be available for early morning shifts

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a live production environment as a support crew or a degree in a related field preferred.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for multiple hours at a time.
• Availability to work early morning hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the studio for live newscasts
• Operate teleprompter
• Keep track of broadcast cues and talent positions in studio
• Assist talent and guests with microphones and other equipment
• Move and position multiple studio cameras and set pieces
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of studio space and equipment
• Prepare and guide studio guests from standby locations to on-air interviews or segments
• Support operation of the station by assisting Engineering, News, and other departments
• Other duties as assigned
