Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group in Columbus, OH, is seeking a part-time Production Assistant for Good Day Columbus. You will prepare the studio for live broadcasts, operate the teleprompter, manage cues, and assist talent and guests with equipment.

The role requires lifting up to 50lbs, climbing ladders up to 25ft, and availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays. A background in live production or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a live production environment as a support crew or a degree in a related field preferred.

• Prepare and maintain the studio for live newscasts.
• Operate teleprompter.
• Keep track of broadcast cues and talent positions in studio.
• Assist talent and guests with microphones and other equipment.
• Move and position multiple studio cameras and set pieces.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of studio space and equipment.
• Prepare and guide studio guests from standby locations to on-air interviews or segments.
• Support operation of the station by assisting Engineering, News, and other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
